Earlier this year we finally furnished a room in our home that had been sitting empty for over a year and a half. In case you can’t guess from the photo, it was our dining room! To be honest, I really wanted a tried and true harvest table, but the cost of such a table wasn’t worth it since our room isn’t large enough to fit the size of table I would really love. After looking what felt like everywhere we finally settled on this table and these chairs from World Market. I was happy with the price point , knowing that when we eventually move to a different home I will want to upgrade this to the most beautiful, rustic 12 foot long table you can imagine! I snuck in some of that rustic charm with a vintage buffet I scored at a local antique market, and everything else you see on the table (with the exception of a vintage basin and pitcher) is from Target! I am so in love with their winter/Christmas products this year and did this dry run for my Christmas Eve Dinner I will be hosting. The gold pinecones are DIY (directions: find pine cones. spray paint with glitter. Bam) and the poinsetta I picked up for $4 makes the perfect centerpiece (disclaimer: it is already dead. I forgot to water it.) But hey, it was only four bucks so I can get another one just in time for Santa! Menu and place settings are by the talented Laura Hooper of LH Calligraphy (hey, don’t those look familiar from your Bloom workshop in Atlanta, Ashley? Why yes….yes they do!) Links to all the things are below, and here are some pretty pictures of my little set up!
What do you think? Too much red and gold, or just right?!
