One of the number questions I get asked by my brides is “WHAT should we wear to our engagement session?!” I always recommend two great outfits, and today I want to touch on one of my favorite looks. If you want to make me cry tears of joy (or any photographer, really)– show up dressed to the nines. I am talking black tie, old hollywood glamour all the way. Engagement sessions are a time to have so much fun, and you can do that in so many ways. Aside from wedding day, chances are most people don’t have that many opportunities to really get decked out and dolled up. I love when couples bust out their fanciest duds and stroll through the city– or even more fun, head out into a wide open field with the perfect upholstered couch as a prop. Why not use your engagement session as a time to really have some fun and feel drop dead gorgeous? Below I have put together two different looks for you and your groom. Can’t afford a fancy dress for a photo session? My little secret is rent the runway— for a fraction of a FRACTION of the cost it would take to buy a gown, you can rent one (this gold sequin badgley mischka dress makes me want to cry I love it so much). The point is– you can do a lot more than the typical jeans, sweater, statement necklace and have unique, amazing photos to hang on your walls once you are married! Here are two looks I put together for you and your groom!
